Timeline & Process
How long does it take to design and install a headstone in NYC?
Great question—and one of the most common. Most headstones take about 6 to 12 weeks from final design to installation, depending on the material and the cemetery’s schedule. Some cemeteries in NYC also require a foundation to be poured, which can add time. We’ll guide you every step of the way and keep you updated.
Do you handle cemetery approvals and permits?
Most NYC cemeteries have very specific rules, and each one has its own paperwork and fees. We take care of all of that for you-submitting the design for approval, handling the foundation application, and make sure we’re following cemetery guidelines so you don’t have to worry.
Can I see a preview of the headstone before it's made?
Absolutely. We’ll provide you with a detailed proof, a digital layout showing the monument design, lettering, symbols, and any images. You’ll get to review and approve everything before we move forward. Nothing goes into production without your full approval.
How much does a custom headstone cost in New York City?
It depends on the size, material, and details, but most families spend between $2,500 to $6,000 for a fully installed upright monument. Flat markers and cremation memorials are often more affordable. We are upfront with our pricing and we offer options to fit different budgets – no surprises.
